The Supro Supreme replaced the Clipper (1942-47). Supro was National’s “second-tier” or “budget” brand. Priced more moderately, it featured a string-through 3+3 pickup – with separate coils for bass and treble strings – today prized for it's “dirty” sound.
And this 1950 Supreme lives up to that full-out sound.
